The Pro-Tec Ice-Up Portable Ice Massager comes with one Ice-Up stick and an insulated carry cooler, stays frozen up to 10 hours within the carry cooler. The Portable Universal Ice Massager features an ergonomic, insulated comfort grip barrel for controlled ice massage, unique cap design that is easy to pop open with wet hands, and patented Ice Grippers that allow full range of controlled massage pressure. Simple and effective: just fill it, freeze it and carry it for ice on the spot.

Experience the benefits of direct, active ice massage with effective treatments in 5-7 minutes vs 15-20 minutes for passive ice packs. This Pro-Tec Ice-Up Portable Ice Massager offers quick deep tissue relief for ligament, tendon and muscular injuries. This portable universal ice massager can be used on the ankle, back, elbow, neck, heel, foot, hip, thigh, knee, shoulder, and wrist.

Use and Care Information:

Press the Push-up Plunger all the way down until it protrudes from the bottom of the Ice-Up Stick
Fill with clean water up to the Ice Grippers
Freeze Ice-Up Stick and Carry Cooler separately
For best results place Ice-Up Stick in the freezer without Cap
For best results place the Carry Cooler in freezer with lid unzipped and open.
Do not freeze stick in cooler.

After Freezing:

When frozen, snap cap onto Ice-Up Stick, place in Carry Cooler and zip shut
For use, removing from freezer and let Ice-Up Stick rest for a few minutes
For immediate use, run under warm running water for 5 to 10 seconds, then proceed with normal use

To Store:

Place Ice-Up Stick back in the Carry Cooler in between uses to maximize the useful life of the ice

Dimensions of Cooler Unit : Approx. 5" (h) x 4" in diameter.
Dimension of Ice Unit: (without cap): Approx. 3 1/2" (h) x 1 1/2" in diameter.

According to a 2003 study on the benefits of ice massage with patients with Osteoarthritis, the School of Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Ottawa, found that Ice massage compared to the control group had a statistically beneficial effect on ROM (range of motion), function and knee strength. It was also found that Cold packs decreased swelling associated with the disease.
